"Changing Lives One at a Time!"
Project Star
PROJECT STAR is a six-month recovery home for women on parole. There
are 4 phases in our program, and women are able to progress through
each phase once they have followed all requirements of there treatment.
The first 30 days is a black-out period, the client is allowed to make one
phone call upon arrival to let family or a friend know where they are and
that they are okay. There are no other phone calls, no visiting, and no
movement for the first 30 days. Phase II consist of clients out on minimal
weekend passes, securing a sponsor, going to outside meetings and
having visitors on the premises. At the end of Phase II, the client is
expected to look for work or enroll in school. Phase III allows clients to work,
extended weekend pass times, and everything else in phase II. Phase IV is
the final phase; clients should be working or going to school, pass time is
extended, attend outside meetings, meeting with sponsor on a regular
basis, looking for sober living and/or independent living and preparing for
transition out of Project Star.
Treatment at Project Star includes, Narcotics Anonymous; step study with
both Narcotics Anonymous and alcoholics Anonymous. Big Book Study;
